Commentary: Welcome to Smackdown, tonight will be another packed event, which will culminate with CM Punk & Mark Henry taking on Night of Champions World Championship opponents John Cena and The Big Show, also scheduled fellow Society member Randy Orton takes on Intercontinental Champion Matt Hardy, which could have repercussions for the Title Match at Night of Champions and Scott Steiner renews an old rivalry when he faces Scott Hall..............
But we start the night off with Diva's action, as Women's Champion Brie Bella takes on Summer Rae.............

This was a close match up for the majority, but Brie landed the Bella Buster and went for the cover, but just then the ring was invaded by the rampant Kharma, she delivered a powerful kick to Brie's gut and then a strong right hook to Summer Rae.............with both Diva's laid out, Kharma's work was done, and she left happy with her actions.
Backstage: CM Punk addresses the WWE Universe flanked by Orton & Mark Henry...........he is apoplectic at the fact that despite going into Summerslam as the World Champion, he now sits behind Big Show for the next Title shot........he demands that he is granted a rematch, and so later tonight he and Mark Henry will make sure that Big Show is unable to compete at Night of Champions, while Cena will be unable to prevent it.
Promo: Ziggler & Cesaro have entered the ring, they are still upset over what they perceive as mis-treatment from GM Teddy Long, they claim their matches last week were "filler" matches which they were screwed in, and now this week they once again find themselves without a match............as a result they issue Teddy with an ultimatum, give them a shot at a title, or they will start proceedings to get Teddy remnoved as GM..............
just then Kofi Kingston & Christian come out, they can't believe what they have just heard.........they tell Ziggler & Cesaro to stop bitching and whining, if they want a Title opportunity, they first have to earn it by winning matches on their own............

Backstage: CM Punk has some advice for his Society members, he wants the rivalry between Orton & Mark Henry to end, he wants Matt Hardy to find out at Night of Champions that there will be NO Fall Out, and that the Intercontinental Title will be joining The Society, and he wants Randy Orton to show Matt Hardy just how united and strong The Society is..............next.

Backstage Interview: Renee Young is with Scott Hall, she asks him about the recovery status of fellow Outsider X-Pac who suffered at the hands of Sheamus 2 weeks ago, Hall informs Renee that X-Pac is recuperating, but there's no sign yet of a return to the ring, but he enjoyed Sheamus getting his ass handed to him at Summerslam, and claims now that all his little minions are now lost and alone..........just then though he is attacked from behind by Scott Steiner who after the brutal beatdown yells that he doesn't need Sheamus to kick Scott Hall's ass.........
Promo: Triple H makes his way to the ring, it's time for his announcement on his future............
He starts off my mentioning that when you're at the top, the only way is down, he has been at the top for many years now.......he runs through all his achievements, mentions masterminding the 2 most memorable stables in WWE History......DX & Evolution, and achieving his goal at Summerslam to end The Misfits..............so what now, what is there left for him to do in the WWE............
is it time to end his in ring career?

Of course it isn't, if he's going to be knocked off the top of the pile, then someones going to have to do it...........the only thing missing right now is gold around his waist, so he's officially restarting his journey back to being a World Champion.............
Just then however Alberto Del Rio makes his way out and enters the ring..........
Alberto is disgusted that Triple H is putting himself into the World Title picture, he hasn't been World Champion for 4 years, he is past it, the future of the WWE is Alberto Del Rio..........he then brings up Teddy's decision to restrict Del Rio from Title shots while Cena is champion, finally he has one last word for Triple H...............
Suddenly Alberto delivers a firm right hook to Triple H knocking him to the ground, before delivering a few kicks.............then Brock Lesnar turns up, collecting a steel chair from under the ring and handing it to Del Rio, but before Del Rio can use the chair, Chris Jericho charges down to the ring, at this point Lesnar & Del Rio exit the ring..............
Backstage Interview: Renee Young questions Teddy Long on whether the actions of Lesnar & Del Rio will have repercussions..........Teddy Long says there will, and those repercussions will be later tonight when Lesnar & Del Rio will face Jericho & Triple H inb a Tornado Tag Match......
also next week Cesaro & Ziggler get another chance to impress him when they face Kofi Kingston & Christian........

Backstage: Teddy Long walks in on JBL, he is fed up of the constant cheap shots on Daniel Bryan, he demands JBL accept the loss he suffered to Bryan a few weeks back and man up........
JBL is infuriated, he claims that Teddy is using Smackdown as his play thing, pushing trolls like Bryan, when he should be pushing real talent........that is why he returned to the ring to rid Smackdown of the trolls, and once he's disposed of Bryan, he's coming for the rest...............
Teddy informs JBL that next week he won't have to worry about going after trolls, because next week he's facing an opponent of Teddy's choosing.

What a match up, Orton kept interfering in the match, to the point where ther referee ejected him from ringside, CM Punk kicked out of the Knockout Punch, Big Show kicked out of the GTS, who was going to come out on top?

Post Match: Randy Orton came back out to the ring and threw Mark Henry a steel chair, however Cena & Show realised this and attackewd Mark Henry before he could use it, causing him to leave the ring and retreat along with the fuming CM Punk.............Big Show & Cena stood tall in the centre of the ring.
