Opening Credits.

Commentary: Welcome to another episode of Friday Night Smackdown, on tonight's show the World Heavyweight Title Number 1 Contendership 2nd Semi Final takes place between old foes Alberto Del Rio and The Big Show, where the winner will face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam.  Also tonight as we saw last week, Sheamus will face X-Pac tonight in Singles action, and after Triple H dealt with Jinder Mahal last week, how will X-Pac cope in this match.

And in another story Randy Orton faces Matt Hardy with the opportunity to prove he should be the next Title Contender for the Intercontinental Title, but after Mark Henry's actions last week, will Orton be fully prepared?

First up though is the Sheamus, X-Pac match up.

Sheamus v X-Pac 

Sheamus intended for this match to be a squash match, and a message to Triple H, however X-Pac put on a real fight, even managing to kick out of Sheamus' Brogue Kick Finisher, and then making a comeback before landing a Bronco Buster on Sheamus.  This was the ultimate insult for Sheamus as he retaliated by tossing X-Pac out of the ring and athen cracking him over the skull with a ghastly chair shot.

Post Match: That wasn't the end though, Sheamus then proceeded to continue smashing X-Pac with the chair, and then he placed the chair on the ankle of X-Pac....................at this point however Scott Hall came rushing to the ring and chased Sheamus out, but then he was a victim of an attack from behind by Scott Steiner, Sheamus then re-entered the ring and as Scott Hall climbed back to his feet, struck him back down with The Brogue.

Commentary: Micheal Cole equates the beatdown on X-Pac and Hall as the same as Triple H assaulting Mahal last week.........but next up, we finally get JBL and Daniel Bryan in a match.

Pre-Match: JBL makes his way to the ring, but in a turn of events it is he who finds himself ambushed from behind, as an irate Daniel Bryan takes a semblance of payback.

As a result however he may have just put this match in jeopardy as the Medical team approach JBL.....................however JBL refuses medical aid, and enters the ring where Bryan is waiting...........the match is going to take place after all.............the referee enters the ring, and just as he's about to signal the bell.................JBL waves his arms and steps out of the ring, and begins his walk to the back.

However Smackdown GM Teddy Long is not having that, after JBL refused medical aid, he declared himself fit for this match, therefore the match will go ahead, and if JBL refuses to participate he will held in breach of his contract, and will be terminated on the spot..........

Promo: John Cena stands in the ring and calls out Mark Henry, however Mark Henry doesn't come alone, he is accompaniied by the World Champion CM Punk, Punk claims that the reason he has accompanied Mark Henry to the ring, is for Cena's good, he doesn't want what happened last week, to happen to John Cena again, because he wants no excuses when he retains the Wolrld Championship at Summerslam against Cena.......

Just then Teddy Long comes out, he claims that since Cena wants it, and he knows the WWE Universe want to see it, he is authorising the match for tonights Main Event..........John Cena versus Mark Henry!!!!!!!!

As CM Punk is telling Teddy he will regret that choice when Cena fails to make it to Summerslam, Mark Henry tries to cheap shot Cena from behind, but Cena evades the challenge and the momentum sends Mark Henry over the top rope leaving Mark Henry looking very foolish.

Matt Hardy v Randy Orton

This is Orton's opportunity to prove to Matt Hardy that he should get the next shot at his Intercontinental Title.

So he wasn't too ecstatic when Mark Henry interjected himself into the match and attacked Matt Hardy.

Winner: Matt Hardy via Disqualification.

Backstage Summer Rae catches up with Brie Bella, she showers complinents on Brie , and then reveals that Brie should face her next for the Womens Title.

Brie tells Summer that she isn't even thinking about defending the title right now, instead she wants to speak with Kharma and clear the air between them.

Summer advises Brie to stay away from Kharma, because she is the most unstable Diva on the roster and has no place for friends.

Next up we have the 2nd match to determine who will face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam to determine the next World Title Number 1 Contender...........

The Big Show v Alberto Del Rio

Mid Match: The Titantron bursts into life, with "Break the walls down!!!!!" and Chris Jericho appears at the top of the ramp, Alberto Del Rio is incensed by this intrusion, and he storms out of the ring to confront Jericho, Ricardo Rodriguez tries to prevent Alberto, but is unable...........security end up preventing Del Rio & Jericho coming to blows..............

but while all this has been happening, the referee has been counting.................

Winner: The Big Show via Count out.

Post Match: Del Rio re-enters the ring and threatens the referee, but he exits the ring and his decision is final......The Big Show is going to Summerslam..............then things get worse for Del Rio as he walks into a Chokeslam from The Big Show..........all the while Jericho looks on approvingly from the top of the ramp.

Ad Break

Backstage: Triple H, Kofi Kingston & Christian stand together, following the earlier incident X-Pac has been ruled out of action for a number of weeks, next week they strike back, when Christian teams with Scott Hall to take on Steiner & Sheamus, while Triple H will take on Cesaro.

Backstage: Randy Orton joins with CM Punk, Randy questions the necessity of allowing Mark Henry to join their society, considering the fact that he is standing in Orton's way to becoming Intercontinental Champion...............

CM Punk tells Orton that Mark Henry is just what their society needed......an enforcer, he also claims that Mark Henry is not standing in Orton's way, he has been sent to ENSURE that The Society hold all the gols, and as such he is there to HELP Orton in his target.

And Now it's Main Event Time as Mark Henry takes on John Cena.

John Cena v Mark Henry w/CM Punk

Mid Match: The referee is knocked down, and this allows Randy Orton to charge down the ramp and enter the ring, putting Cena in atough spot with Mark Henry and Orton eitgher side of him, and CM Punk hovering outside the ring.......................Orton charges at Cena, but Cena ducks below the challenge, as a result Orton crashes into Mark Henry, Oreton tries to make amends, but Cena is too quick, and sends Orton flying out of the ring..............as the referee comes to, John Cena makes the pin on Mark Henry.

Post Match: John Cena celebrates the victory, while CM Punk seethes on the outside of the ring.
