Commentary: It is 5 days since the biggest event of the Summer, Summerslam; we are updated regarding the new World Championship Number 1 Contender, The Big Show who at Night of Champions will now face the NEW World Champion John Cena, Triple H achieved his target of dismantling The Misfits, and as a result of that match, Sheamus was sent to hospital with his injuries................now as for tonight, we have 3 pre-booked matches, Chris Jericho & Alberto Del Rio will put an end to their feud tonight in 1 on 1 action, Society members Randy Orton & Mark Henry will meet each other with the winner getting an Intercontinental Title shot at Night of Champions............and John Cena goes 1 on 1 with Scott Steiner..............Just then the air is shattered by the entrance Theme of Brock Lesnar.........and he makes his way to the ring.........and he's not happy...........

Promo: Brock Lesnar claims that an injustice happened at Summerslam, he should never have even been in a match to begin with, he is the rightful Number 1 Contender and regardless of Big Show's fluke victory, he demands Teddy Long come out and correct the situation by making him the Number 1 Contender...................

However instead of Teddy Long, Brock  is joined in the ring by Chris Jericho..........Lesnar is infuriated, he claims if he wanted Jericho he would've called for a failure...................

Jericho then tells Lesnar to "Shut the hell up!!!!", before reminding him that he lost at Summerslam, he lost a World Title match against CM Punk, and he lost TWO World Title shots against John Cena............and then tells Lesnar that if he wants to see a failure......look in the mirror............

Lesnar is about to explode, he takes a step towards Jericho, who doesn't back down, then.......................Lesnar backs off and leaves the ring and makes his way up the ramp.................

Backstage: Cesaro & Dolph Ziggler walkinto Teddy Long's office, theyt've seen the news on WWE.Com that Christian & Kofi Kingston have been awarded a future Tag Title Shot, which they believe is favoritsm, because they have received nothing..............they feel the time has arrived for a new GM on Smackdown...........Teddy Long tells them that if they want opportunities here on Smackdown, then they have to be earned, starting tonight with 2 singles matches.........

Promo: The Big Show makes his way down to the ring, he claims that at Summerslam he ended Lesnar's claim to being the top guy on Smackdown, Big Show believes that ONLY the World Champion can be the top guy, and that now he has the honor if facing John Cena at Night of Champions for the World Championship, but win or lose at the end, Big Show will do the right thing..............

Matt Hardy v Dolph Ziggler 

Commentary: Micheal Cole gives Ziggler huge pops, but feels that despite his effort, he will still be ignored by GM Teddy Long, King disagrees telling Cole that, Teddy is simply demanding more from Ziggler, because Ziggler's actions of late have been unacceptable.........

Backstage: Renee Young is with Triple H, after his success at Summerslam, what's next for him?

Triple H reveals that he doesn't know yet, after all he has achieved everything, so he's going to go away and next week he'll make an announcement for the whole world to hear, in the middle of the ring..........

Jericho appears at the entrance Ramp, and begins his walk to the ring, suddenly he is ambushed from behind by Brock Lesnar, delivering a few solid punches to Jericho he knocks him down to his knees, but Lesnar is not finished, he picks Jericho up, lifts him high in the air and then powerbombs him off the stage..............then satisfied with himself, Lesnar walks back, while EMT's rush to Jericho's aid.........

Promo: Layla comes to the ring, she tells the WWE Universe that she appreciated Brie's actions last week, when she attacked her, as she was sending Kharma a message about how ruthless she can be, but Layla wants Brie to know that she can be ruthless too, in fact she is invoking her Women's Title rematch right now.................

however at that point she is assaulted by Kharma, Layla is demolished by Kharma, culminating with Kharma driving her through the announce desk..........Kharma then announces that SHE is next in line for a Title shot, and anyone who gets in her way will suffer the same fate..........

Before this match takes place, Cena addresses the WWE Universe..........despite all the deceit and plans CM Punk had on Sunday, John Cena is delighted to be able to say "The Champ is here" again, but now it's time to look forward to Night of Champions, and the GIANT challenge that awaits in The Big Show, Cena has a ton of respect for the veteran Big Show, but if he is at the top of his game, then after Night of Champions, The champ will still be here...........

Micheal Cole questions if Cena is looking beyond Scott Steiner tonight.........

Mid Match: CM Punk runs down to ringside to distract Cena, but shortly after The Big Show also comes down to ringside to prevent Punk from interfering.......

Winner: John Cena via Pinfall.

Backstage: we see footage of Chris Jericho, who appears to be coming back out to the ring............

Micheal Cole is shocked at these actions, King explains that Jericho is not thinking, he is irate, but agrees that Jericho should not be out here........

Jericho demands a microphone..........

Jericho informs Lesnar that he just made the list, the list of people to get an ass kicking by Jericho, but right now, he calls out Alberto Del Rio, so they can finish what they started back in July...........

Del Rio comes out, he can't believe the stupidity of Jericho to come out in the condition he's in, Del Rio would beat Jericho at 100%, but this will be over in a matter of minutes.............he should go home, rest his feet............at this point Jericho calls for a referee, and makes this match a Falls count Anywhere match...............and then he rushes Del Rio on the entrance ramp..........

The Fight started on the entrance ramp, and found it's way into the corridors backstage .............bouncing each other off the cases backstage...........

Backstage: Matt Hardy meets with Teddy Long, Teddy is upset that Matt Hardy interfered in the earlier Number 1 Contenders match, as a result Teddy has made a Triple Threat for Night of Champions.......Matt Hardy will defend his Intercontinental Title against Randy Orton AND Mark Henry................surprisingly Matt Hardy shakes Teddy's hand..............he believes now that guarantees no outside interference as they both want to be champion, and neither will allow the other to get the victory, so he can wait for the fall out, and then pick them off one at a time.............

Cesaro v Daniel Bryan

 This was a match of great quality, back and forth action, but it was getting clear as the match went on that Cesaro was getting more and more frustrated at Bryan's resilience.

Post Match: Bryan was down and helpless, and then JBL arrived and together with Cesaro they delivered a serious beating to Daniel Bryan leaving the commentary team speechless as the show came to a close.......
