Opening Credits.
Commentary: After last week's shocking conclusion to the WWE Title Match with Cody Rhodes betraying and winning the WWE Title from his brother Goldust, the question on everyones mind is why would Cody make that decision, also how will his brother Goldust react?
And then the arena Titantron bursts into life, and out comes the aforementioned NEW WWE Champion........Cody Rhodes.
Promo: Entering the ring, Cody waits for the "Cody Sucks!" chants to subdue, as the new WWE Champion, he can wait all night if he has to...............he then proclaims that after six long years, he finally received that World Title shot that had alluded him..................winning it in the process............but instead of adulation and respect that should come with the achievement.............he got WHY Cody Why????????...............he claims without him, Goldust would still be fighting in barms......or moving trucks..........he made Goldust relevant in WWE..............and yet it was then Goldust who got handed a WWE Title shot, entering the Rumble at 29, whereas Cody was entered much earlier, then went onto take full advantage of the Triple Threat situation to win the Title..........................but then came the ultimate humiliation......out of pity, Goldust gave him a Title match..........like he needed a hand out................but he did what he had to do.................and with that his Entrance theme played again, and Cody celebrated with the WWE Title on the turnbuckle as the WWE Universe jeered and booed.
Commentary: And with Cody celebrating, Micheal Cole announces what else is in store for this weeks Monday Night Raw, including hopefully a peaceful contract signing between A J Styles and Edge for their match at Extreme Rules, but coming up next after refusing to join The USB a few weeks ago, The Miz is backstage with Renee Young...................
Backstage Interview: Last week Miz suffered a huge beatdown at the hands of McIntyre last week, so does ne now regret refusing to join The USB?
Miz claims he's suffered beatdowns worse before, he refuses to join a group that is Anti-USA, before reminding that the last time McIntyre rallied a group to help him conquer Raw, it didn't work out too well for them, and overall The USB would do well to distance themselves from McIntyre............and coming up next he's going to try and beat some sense into Doug Williams.............
Promo: Already in the ring awaits Doug Williams alongside Wade Barrett, having just witnessed Miz' interview on the Titantron, Williams is about to retort, but is cut off by Miz' entrance theme.............and out he comes............but then just as he's reached the bottom of the entrance ramp, he's jumped from behind by Drew McIntyre, who sends him head first into the steel steps, before throwing him into the ring......before joining Barrett and Williams in delivering another beatdown to The Miz................
Backstage: Jade has visitors in Angelina Love & Velvet Sky, The Beautiful People reminisce over how together the 3 of them along with Taeler Hendrix humiliated the WWE Diva's, well it was about time they did so again, starting tonight with Brie Bella.............Jade accepts..............for old times sake...............
Backstage: A J Styles walks in on Samoa Joe, he informs Joe that tonight he signs a contract for a match with Edge at Extreme Rules, but he's "concerned" that "someone" may prevent Edge from being at 100% going into the match, if he makes it at all, because "apparently" there's a bounty on Edge....................he then leaves
But coming up next Angelina Love takes on Brie Bella, will we see Jade join forces with The Beautiful People and which Brie Bella will turn up?

Post Match: Velvet Sky enters the ring to celebrate with Angelina, then together they approach Brie, the beatdown is on it's way, but Brie evades them, before turning it around, flattening Velvet with one strike, then turning her attention to Angelina and slamming her into the turnbuckle, before proceeding to deliver stomp after stomp on her chest..............once again seemingly out of control.........until Nikki Bella appears at the entrance, ca;;ing for Brie to calm down..............which seemingly calms Brie down...........and then out storms Katie Lea who attacks Nikki, leaving her face down on the ramp................she leaves though before Brie rushes down to her sisters side............
Backstage: Lita confronts Trish Stratus, she claims that Trish can stop blaming her for her failures, as well as accepting that Lita has no reason to be jealous of Trish, when in their previous 2 matches, Trish has failed to defeat Lita other than by Disqualification.........so she puts up the challenge for a No DQ match between them....................and because Trish claims there's only room for one of them in WWE, then the match should be a career versus career match, and Trish can choose the date.
Taken aback by this, Trish appears shocked, accepts and claims she'll get back to Lita to confirm the match.
Out to the ring strides Raw GM, Stephanie McMahon, already set up in the ring two seats and a table, it;s time for the contract signing for Edge & A J Styles' match at Extreme Rules, however before the contract signing can begin, Stephanie informs the WWE Universe that should there be any conflict outside of an official WWE match prior to Extreme Rules, then not only will the match at Extreme Rules be cancelled, but the instigator will be suspended without pay for 2 months.....................
and with that the contracts are signed and a staredown commences, until Stephanie interjects informing A J that he now has a one on one match with newly drafted from Smackdown..............Bobby Lashley!!!!
Pre-Match: Edge joins the commentary team to watch the match................

Post Match: Throughout the match A J Styles had been gesticulating toward Edge at the announxe desk, which ultimately contributed to his loss, so after the match was over he stormed toward Edge, it looked like the no contact clause was already about to be broken..............until A J hesitated, then put out a challenge to Edge...................
Backstage : An irate Velvet Sky having returned from the medical room where Angelina was being treated stormed in on Jade.................what happened, where was she, why did she leave them to be brutally beaten by an out of control Brie Bella?
to which Jade sarcastically apologises, before revealing she owes The Beautiful People nothing, especially not her assistance, when only a couple of weeks ago they were claiming to be the best thing in the Women's division, that they needed nobody's help and most damning that they don't care who got fired in the loser leaves WWE Match so long as it wasn't either of The Beautiful People................and to that Velvet retreats realising that The Beautiful People may have made a new enemy.
Meanwhile out in the ring, the challenge A J had laid out to Edge has been accepted, he waits for his opponent...............and out strides Samoa Joe...........................
Meanwhile A J Styles joins the commentary desk to watch his Extreme Rules opponent in action..................but was this planned all along?

Mid Match: The match was not going the way Joe wanted it............leaving the ring he goaded Edge out, where he was met by a vicious chair shot to the skull.
On Commentary A J commented on "how despicable" those actions were................he then thanks the commentary team for having him, wishes Edge a speedy recovery and leaves with a huge grin on his face.
Winner: Edge via Disqualification.
Backstage: Trish Stratus is in discussion with Melina, apparently some deal has been agreed between them, however Melina reveals that she has no intention of relinquishing the Diva's Title any time soon.......................so should Trish be thinking of betrayal.............she'd best reconsider.
Promo: Former WWE Champion Goldust has made his way to the ring, microphone in hand..................he reveals last week was one of the worst nights in his professional career.....................not losing the WWE Title, that's of secondary importance to him, but possibly losing his brother.........he implores Cody to come to the ring and talk.........he won't even ask for a rematch..................all he wants is his brother back.................blood is thicker than water.
And then Cody arrives.............except he arrives from behind and then assaults Goldust......and delivering a Cross-Rhodes then without looking back leaves..................clearly he has no intention of a reconciliation...........
Backstage: Sin Cara storms in on Rey Mysterio............last week he took a beatdown from The USB because of his past with Mysterio, but he has no intention of taking Mysterio's beatdowns, so next week he wishes to end all ties with Mysterio by facing him in a match.
Mysterio counters by claiming that The USB attacked Sin Cara because he wasn't there to save him as he has done many times before, but he accepts, claiming next week....................someones going to end up looking like a fool.
Coming up next, Doug Williams having avoided his match earlier with The Miz will be facing Ryback instead............
Pre-Match: As Ryback makes his way to the ring, suddenly he is attacked from behind by his Extreme Rules opponent from Smackdown, The United States Champion, Jack Swagger, who slams Ryback spine first into the ring apron....................
the referee leaves the ring to check on Ryback, who glares toward Swagger as he is ushered away by Security, then clambers to his feet...............he's fine to start the match!

Backstage: Stephanie McMahon walks in on Drew McIntyre & Katie Lea, who both seem pleased with their actions tonight, but Stephanie has news for them both, they didn't finish the job, so get prepared because they're in an intergender Tag Team Match against The Miz and Nikki Bella!!

Out strides Triple H, demands a microphone............it was time he explained his actions last week, when he assaulted John Cena.............
Two weeks ago he, the King of Kings, was drafted from Smackdown to Monday Night Raw............the biggest name of the 2013 draft........................a new beginning, not just for him, but also for Monday Night Raw.............but his arrival was met with silence...........and then who was chosen to open the first Monday Night Raw after the draft...................John Frickin' Cena!!!!!!!
The man who was given opportunity after opportunity on Smackdown, the man who was hugely responsible for Triple H having to wait until Cena was absent before he got the Title shot he deserved.....................so last week he sent Cena & WWE Management a message. he's no longer waiting in line............he's front and centre.........first in line!
And this get's Cena's attention, appearing at the entrance ramp, he claims that Triple H shouldn't feel so insecure around him.........but payback will be a bitch!
Backstage Interview: Renee Young catches up with Ryback in the Parking Lot, she notices he seems to be in a rush, but can she ask has the unexpected appearance and subsequent attack by Swagger given him a psychological advantage going into their Title Match at Extreme Rules?
Ryback responds Swagger can play whatever mind games he wants, at Extreme Rules it will simply be Meathook Clothesline, Feed me More, New United States Champion...............but right now he has to catch a ride to Knoxville.....................
Which Jerry Lawler points out is where Smackdown will be showing this Friday............
Promo: Suicide is back, and he has a microphone.................we're about to hear Suicide speak for the first time................but before that can happen, down to the ring comes the man who attacked him a fortnight ago..........Kaval.........however as soon as he gets to ringside, Suicide flips over the top rope wiping him out...................Suicide then sends Kaval into the steel steps, and on this occasion, Suicide is the one standing tall.
Backstage: Mysterio & Lashley are in discussion, when Lashley's phone rings, on the end of the line, Lashley receives a message from an unknown, next week they want to meet Lashley in the middle of the ring................and then hangs up, Lashley seems perplexed, but he never turns down a challenge..............
But now it's Main Event time............it's Payback time............
